When you migrate your data between your premises and the cloud, you need that migration to run quickly, seamlessly, and securely. How can you safely migrate and synchronize your data, without wasting your valuable time and resources?
Cloud Sync is NetApp’s service for rapid and secure data synchronization. This hybrid cloud data replication software as a service (SaaS) transfers and synchronizes your data seamlessly and securely between your premises or cloud storage, NAS, and object stores. With NetApp® Cloud Sync, you can reduce your data transfer times from hours to minutes.
You can access Cloud Sync in NetApp Cloud Volumes Service for AWS or on its own. From there, complete the following steps:
- Select Create a New Relationship.
- Enter your IP address (the rest of the fields are autopopulated).
- Use your cloud volume as a target and start syncing that data.
In just seconds, you can move and sync your data. From there, you can validate your data in the directory to make sure that all your files moved correctly. And to keep your data synced and updated, you can configure Cloud Sync to run hourly, at scheduled dates or times, or even instantly. Cloud Sync ensures that your data moves to where you need it, and also that your data stays synchronized and up to date, wherever it lives.
